Creating a Team

Route: /teams/new (also linked from My Teams).

Step 1 — Name

Enter a team name. This appears in the sidebar, invoices, and invites.

Step 2 — Plan

Choose one of four plans:

Step 3 — Seats (Pro / Business)

Use the slider to choose how many seats to purchase. You can change seats later on Change Plan.

Step 4 — Billing profile (paid plans & Enterprise)

Required for Pro, Business, and Enterprise quote requests:

  • Individual or Business customer type
  • Country / tax jurisdiction
  • For businesses: legal name; VAT ID optional

This drives VAT wording on quotes and Stripe Tax at checkout.

Submit behaviour

  • Free — team created immediately → /teams.
  • Pro / BusinessPay & Create Team opens Stripe payment; after success the team is provisioned.
  • Enterprise — sends a quote request email; team is created on Free pending sales activation (Enterprise teams may be hidden from your team list until confirmed).

After creation

  • You are Owner with full control.
  • Four default roles are seeded: Owner, Admin, Editor, Member.
  • Default seat count on Free is 3.
