Inviting Members

Who can invite

Users whose role includes Manage Members (Owner, Admin by default).

Methods

Email invite

  1. Team Settings → Invites, or sidebar Invite People.
  2. Enter work email → Send Invite.
  3. Recipient gets a link valid 7 days.

Invite link

Generate a shareable link from the same screens. Revoking a pending email invite invalidates that token immediately.

Seat accounting

active members + pending non-expired invites ≥ seat limit blocks new invites.

Upgrade on Change Plan or remove members/revoke invites to free slots.

Default role

Invitees become Member (read spaces/pages; no team management).

Admins can promote them later on Members tab if rank rules allow.

Revoking

Revoke Invite on a pending row removes access to that link instantly.

Best practices

  • Invite owners/finance separately if they need Manage Billing.
  • Use Admin for day-to-day leads; reserve Owner for billing/legal ownership.
  • For large rollouts, increase seats before sending bulk invites to avoid “team full” errors.
