Team Navigation & Interface

When you open a team (/teams/:teamId/), you enter the team workspace layout: sidebar + main content + header tools.

Header

  • Team avatar and name
  • Plan badge (members) or Guest View (non-members)
  • Team menu (members): Settings, Change Plan, Switch Team, Leave Team
  • Invite People (if you have Manage Members)
  • Search / command palette trigger — shows ⌘K hint

Sidebar

  • Home — team overview dashboard
  • Inbox — notifications (members only; badge when unread)
  • Audit Log — Enterprise only; others see an upgrade prompt
  • Spaces tree — expand/collapse spaces; nested pages; inline rename; + to create space or page
  • Collapse sidebar with [ or the toggle control (width persists in local storage)

Overview dashboard (Home)

Shows:

  • Stats — spaces, pages, members
  • Active Spaces — quick links; New Space if permitted
  • Team Resources — Audit Log and Team Management cards (members only)

Guests see Team Preview copy instead of member management tools.

Breadcrumbs

The main area shows your path: Team → Space → Page → Decision. Settings and edit links appear when you have permission.

Mobile

Team Settings uses a slide-over tab list on small screens. The sidebar can be hidden to maximise content width.

Unavailable states

  • Team not found or private without access → error with Back to My Teams
  • Missing permission for a settings URL → redirect to team overview
